He thinks for a moment before saying, "What sort of apprenticeships are available?"

The books seemed to have, at least currently, very little use for him.
Some books which seemed to contain legends and other fleshling stories, some more which had signs on the envelope which looked somehwat arcane, his translation software did not seem to recognize them. There were more books around, albeit further away.
The weapons seemed to be mostly... primitive, for a lack of better words, bladed and blunt weapons which had been badly crafted and were of terrible materials, staffs that seemed to serve no immediate purpose, here and there were some very primitive firearms, single-shot weapons which had to be manually reloaded after every firing cycle and some with drum magazine. A tad further away a faint energy signature peaked his interest, it was in the opposite direction of the door, and seemed to be coming from... another bladed weapon?

The man looked up at him and then under the table, then back at him...
"Ah, I'n sarry to tull ye thut we's all booked up fer tunigh, we'n had a lot o' strange folk around recent, begging you'n pardn' o' cours."
He scratches his brow.
"I'n can't ev'n uffer ye a bed ean tha stable, tes fill up wi' ox."

The man pulled a small pocket watch out of his jacket and looked at it for a moment.
"Thirteen past four mister, the closest Garrison would be the one to the west, don´t worry, you´ll just have to head out the frontgate and then go down the street until you reach it."
He nodded.
"Fare well then, good luck in the town."
As Prophet was a bout to turn away he saw something somewhat... unsettling.
On the wall behind the man, which had formerly been blank, was now a door, the door was of a black wood with a small red sign carved into it´s surface at around half height...
The sign seemed familiar and as he was this time closer he could also make it out in detail.
It was the same door he had seen earlier and it was still emanating the same feeling of terror and fear.
After a moment he heard the voice of the man infront of him.
"Mister, are you okay?"
It seems he had been staring at the door subconsciously, albeit nobody else in the room had noticed it, or teh door for that matter.

The woman opened one of the drawers on her desk and pulled out some papers and looked through them.
"Galdrea has a variety of available jobs and yet the mistborn do not always have the knowledge to work any of them, therefor most jobs can be learned in the city."
She split the papers into three different packages.
"First of there´s three categories. 'Military', which includes soldier and guard jobs, if your service is satisfying you can eventually become a palace guard but that is a long way from here. 'Infrastructure', this includes alot of the maintenance jobs, cleaning, food production and buerocratic work, higher positions will only be available when you have been citizen for a while, but eventually you might even work at the court of the Queen. Lastly there is the 'Craft', these include most of the jobs in the Trade districts, traders themselves, manufacturers and most the jobs involved with the manufacturing process."
She paused for a brief moment.
"You still have not told me your race though."
Drakador_Chaos "alright then."
(it took me so long to understand what you were typing dear god)
he exits the inn and explores the town
Drakador_Chaos "Oh, uh, I'm a human. I mean..." He then trails off, realizing that at this point, a shapeshifter or something wouldn't be that unusual. "Anyway, I think I'll stick with farming for now."
Drakador_Chaos
"Huh? No worries, I'm fine.
Just experiencing a ..."
Nate freezes for a second, realizing he shouldn't use that word.
"I believe you call them 'nightmares'. Anyway, I'm better now. Can't keep wasting time here forever."
As there would have been no way to get to even get to the door without causing a rather large ruckus, Nate simply turns around and leaves through the door before the man can demand answers.
However, it's not even that much of a loss. With the frequenzy of those omnious doors appearing, he should get to examining one soon enough.

As he explored the city he didn´t find anything particularly out of the ordinary, some shops for food and clothes, workshops for clothes, tools and weapons, the townhall, a church and plenty of buildings simply meant for housing.
Albeit there were some... oddities.
First off the townhall was somewhat ominous with the whoel state of death atop it, then there seemed to be a large hole in the ground somewhere by the front gate which had apparently recently been closed with a large wooden cover made of planks. Lastly, there was still the mansion atop the hill covered in fog, it was closed off from eth city by anotehr wall...

The man looked at him for a few more moments then shrugged and went back to his work.
As Prophet left he saw the woman giving Nathan his documents.
Once he left the room he was standing in the same corridor he entered through again, to his left the crossing with teh pillar which had the woman on it.
Amazing_Goob
The woman nodded and wrote a few more things down.
"Very well, that is all for now, I´ll now give you these documents and you´ll head to one of the photography rooms where you´ll get a passphoto made, afterwards you´ll have to go to one of the tables on the otehr side of the room, the people there will sort out the rest of the process."
The woman handed him the package of documents she had been writing on whilst they had been talking and then started looking at the next on the row.
Drakador_Chaos Stuffing the documents under his arm and goes to take the picture. He had mostly dried off by now , but would probably still look terrible. Good thing he didn't intend to say too long.
Drakador_Chaos
Now, off to ... looking around a bit.
With some time to spare, Nate puts his helm back on and starts strolling towards the entrance, walking a bit slower on purpose to get a good grasp on the surroundings.
Maybe he could as well find out more about that odd painting he spottet before while he's here?

The palace seemed to be layed out similar to the city, long straight corridors, all crossings meeting 90 degree angles with an almost unnerving precision, he saw alot of doors, some remained closed, some opened now and then, to reveal storage rooms, workplaces or sometimes armories. what he hadn´t noticed on his way in were the slits in the ceiling, which seemed to be hiding portcullis. For the age this place represented it was well defended.
Eventually he reached the same portrait of the woman again, she seemed somewhat sad, yet wise, oddly enough it had no name beneath it, though there were a number of other people stopping now and then to take a look at it as well.
Amazing_Goob
Taking the picture took a while, which was due to the photography 'technology' of this city seemed to be almost archaic, though there weren´t any problems at least.
Nonetheless, he eventually walked out of the room with a set of new phots of himself the room had emptied a bit compared to before, next up would be the tables to his right, a few official looking individuals were sitting at said tables, though tehre weren´t any lines infront of these, that probably meant this wouldn´t take as long as the first part of this process...
Drakador_Chaos (I FORGOTS TO REPLY AM SORRY)
he looked around for sombody who looked like they actually knew somthing and wouldent be confused about the thing he is to ask about the whatever the fuck is with the mansion
maybe a not busy shop keep, or just.... anyone really.
Drakador_Chaos Hauling all of his paperwork over to this other table, he sets it down and continues.
Drakador_Chaos How the heck am I still on time?!
Nate makes sure to memorize the picture before heading on, assuming it to be of potential importance of this place.
However, time most likely wouldn't wait on him, so he decides against a sketch and instead heads out of the palace again and following the street towards what the man said would be the west garrison.
Time to secure a good spot in this place and get to the actual work after that. And to be honest, soldier does seem like a quite useful side-occupation.

He didn´t need to search long for someone to be able to tell him 'whatever the fuck is with the mansion'.
In fact the first passerby he asked already had an answer, apparently it was the mansion of the citys mayor, Baron Cedric Von Utarefson.
Whilst they refered to the mayor with respect, something felt off when they talked about him, as if there was a little bit more than just sole 'respect', though from what they said he seemed to be doing his task well...

It took a while getting to the garrisons, after all it was almost six kilometres fromt he palace to his destination and as he finally reached it the sun slowly started dawning, albeit it was hard to see over the walls of the city in the distance.
The garrisons itself were walled as well, twice even, and shut off from the city by four double sided heavily armored gates, each of which seemed to be able to be shut off additionally with portcullis.
As he approached the gates one of the guards noticed him and waved him over.
"The garrisons are closed off from civilian entrance. Purpose of your visit?"
Amazing_Goob
As Nathan dropped the papers on one of the tables a middle-aged woman looked at him and then nodded. Taking some of the papers and starting to fill out new ones.
This process didn´t take quite as long as the first one or taking the photos and soon he got a, now considerably smaller, stack of papers back.
"That would be all paperwork for now mister Biraz. Pleas enot ethat you´ll alwqays need to have the foremost paper in range as it serves as your pass, this can be preferably on yourself or if that deems impractical in your apartment as well."
She paused a few moments and searched for something in her table, eventually pulling up a map of the city.
"Now we´ll just have to determine where you´d like to work, agricultural sectors are usually situated on the underground levels around the palace areas for easy distribution and safety in cases of incursions, which would be entrances fifteen to twenty, of these eightteen and nineteen are currently the lowest on workers. There is however also some smaller farms in the urban undercity areas, these areas are less busy, though you´ll likely have more work there in return."
She pointed at the entrances nine and eight.
Drakador_Chaos Dhas turned around and walked away, he was done here. He started by entering the forest that he has decided to ignore before.
KrankysFirebrand48
As Dhas looked around he realised the odd man which had been standing amidst his view just a few moments ago, was gone, the wormcreature in the meanwhile was sleeping soundly in it´s house.
No matter.
Regardless of these odd occurances, Dhas headed across the plain towards the forest.
When he reached his destination it was still bright daylight, until a few moments later he came to the realisation... it would always be day in this world, no matter what time it was, the sun would always be at it´s zenith, how oddly convenient for him.
The forest ahead of him was of a lush green, each of the trees having a thick brown trunk, he heard no noises coming out of it aside from the wind and there was no foliage on the ground either, just a carpet of green grass.
Something... felt off.
Drakador_Chaos he was obviously confused, but further questioning might just bring somthing up not so good for the person If his suspicions are correct....
hm. There’s got to be an exit somewhere around here. Maybe it’s to deal with these anomalies around here, the mansion is Probobly going to be a insane maze... not there yet.... he looked to the town hall, approaching the giant hole a bit, though not standing too close to the edge, and just stared. He tried to make out anything in the pit or about the townhall but Probobly just can’t... he looks away and walks off.... what’s beyond the cityscape, what’s around it...
Drakador_Chaos He pauses to think about this for a moment.
"Is there any distinction between eighteen and nineteen?"
